Job Description:
The Banquet Captain will work closely with the Banquet Manager to ensure the successful execution of events and functions at our location in Lake Ozark. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise banquet staff during events, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards
- Coordinate with the Banquet Manager to create event timelines and ensure all staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities
- Assist with set-up and breakdown of banquet spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, and decorations
- Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages to guests
- Address any guest concerns or special requests promptly and professionally
- Maintain a clean and organized banquet area throughout events
Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior experience in banquet or event management
- Strong leadership abilities and the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
