Tow Truck Operator

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing safe and efficient towing services to our clients, ensuring that vehicles are transported securely and with care. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive mechanics, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage conflicts effectively while interacting with customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate tow trucks and other vehicles safely to transport disabled or improperly parked vehicles.
• Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the tow truck is in good working condition.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients in a professional manner during stressful situations.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs on vehicles as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of towing activities, including vehicle details and customer information.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
• Manage conflicts with customers calmly and effectively, ensuring a positive resolution.

Skills

• Proficient in operating manual transmission vehicles.
• Strong conflict management skills to handle various customer interactions.
• Valid commercial driving license (CDL) preferred for operating larger tow trucks.
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic automotive repairs.
• Experience driving tow trucks and familiarity with towing equipment.
• Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading purposes when necessary.
• Strong attention to detail in handling vehicle transport safely and securely.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
