Responsibilities:
– Perform preliminary patient work-up including vital signs, visual acuity, and history taking
– Assist ophthalmologist with patient care procedures
– Conduct diagnostic tests such as tonometry and visual field testing
– Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical record systems
– Clean and maintain ophthalmic instruments and equipment
Experience:
– Experience in ophthalmology or optometry setting preferred
– Familiarity with aseptic techniques for instrument sterilization
– Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
– Ability to provide exceptional patient care with attention to detail
