Responsible for the efficient operation and administration of the building official office; building and zoning permits and inspections; investigate complaints relating to building and zoning, responsible for flood plain management within the City. Ten years’ experience in International Code Council building inspections and plan reviews or a minimum of five years’ experience with municipal zoning codes and procedures. Additional consideration for those with the recommended certifications from ICC: Residential Combination Inspector, Commercial Combination Inspector, and Building Plans Examiner. Wage range is $38,000-62,000 per year based on qualifications. Benefits include LAGERS retirement, comprehensive health/dental/life benefit package, paid vacation and holiday package.
