Position Summary
The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading and executing MSI’s full marketing function. This role blends strategic ownership with hands-on execution across brand, content, digital marketing, CRM, and sales enablement. The Marketing Manager ensures MSI’s story is clearly articulated, consistently presented, and effectively converted into qualified opportunities through disciplined follow-up and performance tracking.
This role serves as central connector between marketing, sales, leadership, and external partners. The ideal candidate is organized, creative, data-informed, and comfortable owning both the message and the mechanics behind demand generation.
Core Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Storytelling
· Participate in and facilitate updates to MSI’s brand story, messaging, and positioning.
· Ensure updated brand language is immediately reflected across the website, presentations, and marketing materials.
· Maintain consistency in voice, visuals, and messaging across all channels within and outside of the organization.
Content & Creative Development
· Lead creation of marketing content including:
o Brand and project videos
o Case studies highlighting customer successes
o Social media content (video, imagery, written posts)
o Presentation for outreach, customer and referral partner events, and sales use
· Facilitate case study development initially and assume full ownership over time.
· Coordinate photography and videography as needed to capture projects, teams, and customer stories.
Digital & Social Media
· Own MSI’s social media presence, including weekly posting cadence.
· Generate original content and actively engage with social media participants and potential customers.
· Monitor engagement, growth, and content performance and adjust strategy accordingly.
Sales Pipeline & CRM Ownership
· Serve as the internal champion and point person for CRM usage.
· Ensure accurate, timely data entry and pipeline updates across the sales funnel.
· Collaborate with leadership to ensure consistent CRM discipline.
· Manage inbound and outbound prospect follow-up activity in collaboration with sales.
· Add new prospects, run targeted micro-campaigns, and nurture leads.
· Monitor website visitor intent through our CRM and initiate outreach when appropriate.
· Follow up on email campaigns where prospect engagement exists but no response has occurred.
· Facilitate outreach to former and inactive customers.
Website & Campaign Support
· Update website content and imagery as needed.
· Draft and send light email or SMS campaigns around seasonal promotions or company milestones.
· Provide creative direction and feedback on website design (partner with vendors for technical support).
Customer Touchpoints & Reputation
· Increase proactive outreach to current and legacy customers.
· Secure testimonials, reviews, and referrals
· Support referral partner development with sales team thought networking, home shows, exhibits, events, and relationship building.
Measurement, Reporting & ROI
· Define, track, and report key marketing KPIs in partnership with leadership.
· Measure ROI across campaigns, channels, and initiatives.
· Use data to inform prioritization and continuous improvement.
Collaboration & Support
· Work closely with sales to support pipeline development, enablement materials, and follow-up execution.
· Support events, community involvement, and referral partner initiatives.
· Coordinate with external vendors, agencies, and partners as needed.
Qualifications
· 3-5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in construction or related B2B environment.
· Strong writing, storytelling, and content creation skills.
· Hands-on experience with CRM platforms.
· Experience managing social media, email campaigns, and website content.
· Comfort working with analytics, KPIs, and performance reporting.
· Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable owning outcomes.
· Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
