The Bindery Apprentice is a full-time, on-site role based at our Osage Beach, MO facility. This position assists in operating and maintaining bindery equipment, such as cutters, folders, stitchers, and other finishing machinery. Day-to-day tasks include feeding and monitoring printed materials, performing basic adjustments, and inspecting finished products for quality and accuracy. The Bindery Apprentice helps organize and stage jobs, keeps the work area clean and safe, and follows production schedules and instructions from supervisors. This role offers hands-on training, with opportunities to learn the full range of bindery processes and grow into more advanced responsibilities within the production team.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn and operate bindery and finishing equipment, including cutters, folders, and stitching or collating machines.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow job tickets, measure accurately, and perform quality checks on finished products.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools for minor adjustments, maintenance, and troubleshooting under supervision.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift and move paper stacks and finished products, and work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Solid organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple jobs, meet deadlines, and follow established workflows and safety procedures.
