Job Summary
Laurie Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team. Applicants must have a good personality, be a team player, desire to excel in their work, enjoy the challenge of multi-tasking, and have a strong passion for people and pets. Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and medical procedures
- Handling and restraining animals
- Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian
- Keep accurate records and logs
- Kennel Rotations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the veterinary clinic
- Provide compassionate care to all animals under our supervision
Skills
- Strong attention to details
- Excellent communication skills
- Patient and caring personality
- Ability to follow instructions properly
- Comfortable being around dogs and cats
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (e.g. lift up to 50 lbs)
- Team player
- A high school diploma is a must

Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour (DOE)

Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
- Rotating weekends
- Rotating kennels on days off and holidays

- We have kennel rotation on days we are closed. Will you be able to participate in the kennel rotation, as needed, on days we are closed and holidays?
