Administrative Assistant (Part-Time) – Lake Arts Council

Location: Osage Beach, MO

Schedule: Part-Time, 25 hours/week (Typically 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday–Friday with additional hours for events)

Compensation: $16/hour

Reports To: President, Board of Directors

About the Lake Arts Council

The Lake Arts Council is a non-profit organization dedicated to cultivating and promoting the arts throughout the Lake of the Ozarks region. We support local artists and performers, provide arts education opportunities, and bring creative programming to our community. We are seeking a detail-oriented, community-minded Administrative Assistant to support our mission and keep our office running smoothly.

This is a highly visible role that supports Board Members, engages with community partners, and helps implement fundraising, marketing, and public relations efforts.

About the Position

The Administrative Assistant serves as the central hub of the Council’s daily operations, managing the office, supporting the Board of Directors, assisting with financial and membership administration, and helping coordinate events, communications, and public relations activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency with email, word processing, and spreadsheets
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Comfortable working independently and with a volunteer Board
  • Ability to build relationships with community partners, artists, and volunteers
  • Basic financial administration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in nonprofit or arts administration
  • Grant writing or fundraising experience
  • Marketing or social media coordination experience
  • Event planning or program coordination experience
  • Familiarity with the local arts community
  • Experience with volunteer or membership management
  • Familiarity with Canva or other graphic design tools
