An Assistant Chief Engineer is the person who is the subordinate of the Chief Engineer. In his absence, the whole responsibility is taken by the Assistant Chief Engineer. He assigns the task to the employees who are best suited for that job. He makes sure that the employees are safe and doing their work with full enthusiasm and responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Properly allocate people in different projects according to their capability
- Responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating all the preventive maintenance and repair work
- Basic responsibilities are to lead, train and develop skills of the subordinates to get optimum quality, performance and productivity.
- Assistant Chief Engineer makes various policies that can help in the growth of the organization, takes up meeting from time to time in order to explain different functions and duties to his subordinates
- One of the main responsibilities is to keep the data of all the work organized. Keep all the records of what work is done by whom and initially decide on whether the work makes sense for the company or not.
- Must make sure that all the work that he assigns to various employees is safe so that no mishap takes place at the work site
