Job overview:
A Boat Lift assembler is responsible for constructing and assembling various components to build our lifts start to finish, ensuring they meet quality standards. Our Assemblers inspect materials, products, parts, and equipment to detect defects and malfunctions.
Boat Lift Assembler requirements:
• Reading and comprehending instructions and following established procedures.
• Collecting all material and equipment needed to begin the process.
• Taking precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components.
• Possess good communication skills.
• Physical fitness and strength to lift and operate heavy parts, tools and machinery.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to operate various tools and machines.
• Basic computer skills such as emailing.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts.
• Follow technical instructions.
• Discern quality of parts and materials used in production.
• Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process.
• Follow company procedures and directives.
• Test finished products for defects.
• Maintain the tools used to create products.
• Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.
• Cross-train and work in other departments as needed.
Once an assembler has demonstrated a strong understanding of the boat lift assembly process and consistently meets performance expectations, they will be expected to assist in training new or less experienced team members. This includes sharing knowledge, demonstrating best practices, and providing guidance to ensure consistent quality and efficiency across the team. Additionally, they may operate forklifts, use various manufacturing tools, perform manual labor for key tasks in building products, and follow safety guidelines standards.
