Body Shop Maintenance Worker

A Body Shop Maintenance Worker cleans, polishes, and preps vehicles post-repair, ensuring top-tier, showroom-ready condition. Responsibilities include washing and vacuuming, along with cleaning engines and interiors. This role requires attention to detail, stamina for physical labor, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. This position is also responsible for cleaning floors, bathrooms, and trash removal.
Core Responsibilities
- Cleaning & Detailing: Hand-wash, dry, and clean exteriors and interiors, including windows, wheels, and upholstery.
- Post-Repair Prep: Prepare vehicles for delivery after bodywork, ensuring they are free of compound residue or dust.
- Inspection: Inspect vehicles before/after cleaning to ensure high-quality standards are met.
- Maintenance: Keep wash areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized, as well as bathrooms and offices clean.
- Lot Management: Move, park, and arrange vehicles safely within the shop lot.
- Other Job Duties: Work closely with body techs, scanning cars at time of check-in
Qualifications & Skills
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous focus on removing all dirt and defects.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced, physical, and often exposed to cleaning chemicals and wet conditions.
