Position Overview
Riggs Request, Lake of the Ozarks’ premier personal home management and home watch company, is hiring a full-time, detail-oriented, and reliable Cleaning Specialist to provide high-quality cleaning and property preparation services for our discerning clientele. This role focuses on upscale seasonal lake homes and requires the highest standards of cleanliness and care: meticulous interior cleaning and specialized exterior lake home preparation, making sure properties are pristine, welcoming, and fully prepared for owner use.
What You’ll Do
Residential Interior Cleaning
- Perform meticulous cleaning of all interior spaces, including high-end finishes and delicate surfaces
- Provide comprehensive sanitization, detailed dusting (including high-reach areas, baseboards, and intricate millwork), vacuuming, and mopping of various floor types (hardwood, marble, specialized tile, etc.)
- Clean windows (interior), mirrors, and glass to a streak-free standard
- Handle linens and detailed bed-making as needed
- Exercise discretion and extreme care when handling all client property and valuables
Exterior Lake Home Preparation and Cleaning
- Thoroughly clean and prepare exterior multi-level decks, expansive patios, balconies, and docks
- Systematically remove and clean up cobwebs, heavy pollen, leaves, and general debris from all exterior surfaces, railings, and furniture
- Meticulously wipe down and arrange high-end patio furniture, cushions, and outdoor kitchen and bar areas
- Provide specialized seasonal services so properties are staged for immediate use upon client arrival
General
- Participate in training necessary to provide all services
- Complete tasks based on the schedule provided and work with management to schedule services accordingly
- Use authorized company tools, systems, and supplies to perform work as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned that fall within the services described in this posting
What We’re Looking For
- Exercise confidentiality with all homeowner information, with unwavering commitment to the highest quality standards
- Genuinely care for homeowners and their families; think proactively about the needs of the entire household
- Always maintain a professional appearance in provided attire; cannot be afraid to get dirty
- Experience or comfort working near water and docks and using basic exterior cleaning tools
- Strong working knowledge of an iPhone; fluent with email and smart phone apps; able to follow detailed, multi-step directions
- Coordinate multiple requests simultaneously, juggle multiple appointments daily and weekly, and adapt as schedules change
- Comfortable working alone; highly responsive and reliable with a strong attention to detail; excellent time management with the ability to change activity frequently and manage multiple interruptions
- Professional in all forms of communication, including email, phone calls, video calls, and texts
- Must be able to pass a background check and be at least 18 years of age
Bonus skills and experience (not required)
- Experience cleaning residential homes, boutique hotels, or a similar high-standard environment
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Frequent travel between worksites in your own reliable vehicle, with a valid driver’s license
- Work inside and outside of homes in cold and hot weather, including on docks and steep inclines
- Ability to perform demanding physical tasks: standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods; bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and twisting without assistance; reaching overhead and below the waist
- Occasionally push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds
