COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT
Thomas Construction is looking for qualified full-time Job Site Superintendent. We are an aggressively growing company and are looking for a team player with ambition, leadership, and good communication skills. The job will consist of full-time site management, including site supervision, safety management, scheduling, delivery management, and executing the overall construction plan.
Location Lake of the Ozarks Area and Central Missouri
- Coordinates and supervises all construction activities.
- Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.
- Maintains construction schedule, identify, and solve problems.
- Schedules inspections and subcontractors as necessary throughout the process.
- Understands the project plans and specifications.
- Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees.
- Prepare, schedule, and supervise completion of final punch list.
- Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices, and rectifies job site hazards immediately.
- Ensure all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy.
- Maintains an organized job site, including the construction office, files, and submittals.
- Maintain, protect, and manage Argo equipment, tools, and material.
- Core Competencies
- Skills: in Microsoft Word and Excel, Microsoft Project, Procore and other related software.
- Experience: must have 5 years experience in commercial and/or hospitality construction and must be willing to travel within the mid-states’ region
- Education: A background with higher education is preferred.
- Organization:Utilizes strong organizational skills.
- Communication:Displays strong written and oral communication skills and employs effective listening skills.
- Problem Solving:Analyzes problems and makes sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risks, implications, and costs.
- Interpersonal Skills:Tactful and mature demeanor with well-developed
interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with diverse personalities.
