Job Summary
We are hiring immediately for a reliable, hardworking, and physically fit Concrete Construction Laborer to join our crew at Lake Area Concrete Construction, LLC. We provide steady, year-round work without the typical winter slowdowns, keeping our team busy through every season. In this role, you will immediately support a diverse range of high-quality concrete projects across the Osage Beach and surrounding lake areas. Our work spans everything from standard RV pads and structural foundations to custom stamped driveways and decorative outdoor living spaces. The ideal candidate takes pride in clean craftsmanship, follows safety protocols strictly, and is ready to jump right in with a fast-paced, hands-on outdoor crew.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Preparation & Grading: Clean and prepare construction sites. Safely handle excavation support, dig trenches, compact earth, and set up safety barriers.
- Formwork & Reinforcement: Assemble, brace, and strip wood or steel modular form systems (such as Symons panels). Tie rebar and place wire reinforcement mesh according to project layout.
- Concrete Placement: Assist during concrete pours (including pump truck deliveries). Handle pump hoses, operate wheelbarrows or power buggies, and rake/shovel mix into place at the correct slump.
- Consolidation & Finishing: Properly operate mechanical concrete vibrators to eliminate air pockets and ensure structural integrity. Use hand tools to assist with screeding, floating, edging, broom brushing, and preparing sub-bases for stamped decorative finishes.
- Equipment Maintenance: Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power saws, mixers, and light machinery (e.g., skid-steers). Thoroughly clean forms and equipment after every pour.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Drug-Free Work Ethic: Must be 100% drug-free to ensure a safe work environment for the entire crew.
- Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in concrete construction, residential masonry, or commercial formwork preferred. We are willing to train dependable candidates with a strong work ethic.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy physical labor, lift up to 75 pounds regularly, and work on your feet all day in varying Missouri outdoor weather conditions.
- Skills: Familiarity with basic concrete hand tools, blueprints, modular wall forms, or decorative stamping is a major plus.
- Dependability: Strong punctuality, a professional attitude, and a team-first mindset are absolute musts.
- Logistics: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation to get to our shop or local job sites around Osage Beach.
