Deputy City Clerk/Bookkeeper
The City of Linn Creek is seeking an experienced bookkeeper/deputy city clerk to maintain our financial records.
Job Title: Deputy Clerk/Bookkeeper
Class: Non exempt
Hours: Full-Time, 8am to 4pm, occasional alternate hours
Reports to: City Clerk
Starting Pay: Negotiable/Per hour
Job Responsibilities:
- All bookkeeping and accounting duties
- General reporting as needed
- Data Entry and clerical duties
- Participation in event planning and execution
- Production of ads, flyers, newsletters, and other publications
- Website and social media content design and management
- Provide excellent customer assistance in a timely and professional manner
- Provide support for city clerk and mayor
- Other duties as needed/assigned
Requirements:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar financial software
- Accrual/fund accounting experience
- Bookkeeping experience
- Proficient with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and general office equipment
- Valid Missouri driver’s license
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with elected officials, city staff, and public
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Highly motivated
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
