MOTOR HUT Small Engine Mechanic
Our company is seeking an experienced Lawn Mower Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background experience in the trade and be skilled in cleaning, sharpening, and lubricating a variety of motorized equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, sharpen, and lubricate various motorized equipment to ensure safe and correct operation.
- Diagnose and repair problems and failures in a wide range of equipment, identifying repair and replacement needs.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure ongoing functionality of tools and equipment.
- Maintain tools and equipment to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Fabricate metal parts as needed to complete projects efficiently.
- Provide information and updates on work orders to relevant personnel.
- Assist other trades personnel as required and coordinate with administration for project completion.
- Prepare documentation such as time and materials, job specifications, and estimates.
- Request equipment and supplies to maintain inventory and availability.
- Transport tools, equipment, and supplies as needed to job sites.
Other responsibilities include:
- Working under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods; providing information and/or advising others; and tracking budget expenditures. Utilization of some resources from other work units may be required to perform the job’s functions. There is a continual opportunity to have some impact on the Organization’s services.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Lawn Mower Mechanic or similar role.
- Proficiency in cleaning, sharpening, and lubricating motorized equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills across a variety of equipment types.
- Ability to perform routine and preventive maintenance effectively.
- Experience fabricating metal parts is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage documentation and coordinate with other teams.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
