Summary:
Clean public areas of the resort, guest check in, conference room, public bathrooms etc. Responsible for maintaining a level of cleanliness in the housekeeping area and wash, dry and fold all linens in the laundry room. The position may require performing housekeeping duties, as needed. Assists the Executive Directors, Resort Managers and Supervisor, Team Lead and/or Lead Public Area Attendant with projects or assignments. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employee’s job is to get and keep guests. A key part of every employee’s job is to serve as a Targhee ambassador, engaging the guest at every opportunity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Treating all staff fairly and professionally.
- Clean and sanitize public areas using established practice and procedure.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and workability of all public areas.
- Acts as first line of defense for guest complaints and involves Lead PAA, Team Lead, Resort Supervisor and/or Executive Manager in resolution of issues.
- Communicates a sense of urgency.
- Help with the deep clean efforts.
- Responsible for identifying and reporting maintenance issues and ensuring that other staff, as appropriate, are identifying issues.
- Inspects equipment, such as vacuums, mops, and other tools used for cleaning.
- Assists with lost and found efforts.
- Maintains excellent communication with the Resort Supervisor and/or Executive Manager, keeping them apprised of any issues or concerns.
- Provides superior guest service for internal and external guests.
- Leads by example, setting work ethic and guest service standards for all housekeeping associates.
- Responsible for problem resolution in a professional manner.
- Maintains a positive attitude, remains always composed.
- Performs other tasks and projects assigned by the Executive Manager and Resort Supervisor.
- Supports resort and department specific sustainability efforts.
- This position requires flexibility regarding work schedule. Weekends and nights may be required. Weekly work schedule will vary based on business needs.
RESPONSIBILITY TO SAFETY
- Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and resort guests at all times.
- Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
- Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
- Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.
- Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.
- Drive in accordance with the law and resort policies.
- Complete OSHA safety training.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
