Job Description
The Sales Manager at Camden on the Lake Resort position is responsible for growth of the resort’s market share, including meeting or exceeding established goals for revenue, occupancy, ADR and RevPAR. This position reports to the Director of Sales.
The position assists in areas of sales and marketing for the resort in accordance with the resort’s standards. Maintains a professional rapport within the community for the resort and provides an exemplary disposition and performance for fellow staff to follow.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Profit Management
Develop and maintain growth in market share and meet or exceed established goals for the resort & revenue, occupancy, ADR and RevPAR.
Contributes assistance in preparation for rate establishment, sales and marketing plans and departmental goals.
Analyzes and understands competition’s strengths and weaknesses and their top accounts, including the decision makers for each, their rates and what it will take to move their business.
Identifies and cultivates major revenue opportunities/key accounts for the general market and for the resort specifically.
Marketing & Sales Management
Assists in designing and implementing (with the General Manager, Director of Sales) marketing and sales initiatives, group sales advertising, blitzes, direct mail/email campaigns, public relations, and promotional programs appropriate for resort to increase revenue, as established in the resorts sales and marketing plan and group sales budget.
Markets guest room sales to all markets as directed by the Director of Sales. This individual advises resort management and negotiates contracts and agreements.
Takes initiative to cultivate all lead sources to generate new and incremental business.
Qualifies and follows up on leads and prospects gained from cold calls, telemarketing campaigns, sales blitzes, other sources in a timely manner.
Actively participates in community events, industry and service organizations, Chamber of Commerce and CVB events and joins any respective committees available in outside markets.

Prior relevant sales experience required, and hospitality experience preferred.

Compensation
The sales associate position will be offered a competitive salary. Base salary will be paid on a bi-monthly basis on the 7th and 22nd of each month. In addition, the position will be rewarded with commissions based on definite bookings for the resort.
