What we are looking for:
The Sales & Service Assistant will assist the Operations Manager in customer service and sales. A quick-thinking, multi-tasker who thrives on winning and providing first-class service will excel in this position:
- Assists in compiling lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from ad inquiries, trade shows, direct mail responses, referrals, internet leads, and other sources.
- Following potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and educate the customers on our products and services.
- Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales.
- Assists with tracking stock levels.
- Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of the company’s production and delivery schedules.
- Processes payments and works with corporate accounting to process invoices.
- Register Warranties for newly purchased products in the product database.
- On occasion, it will be needed to assist with moving material in and out of a shop environment and assisting with packaging items for shipment.
- Builds and maintains customer relationships.
- Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into the computer database.
- Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries.
- Attend and work Boat Shows as needed.
- Assists in creating and maintaining files on all Contract Installation crews and providers.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, bend, lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily work indoors in an office environment but frequent outdoor work may be required.
