Watersports Instructor

We’re seeking wake sports instructors to join the School of Wake team in Osage Beach, Missouri from June-August 2024. Share your love for watersports activities such as wakeboarding, wakesurfing and tubing while driving the top-of-the-line Malibu and Axis Boats. This is an incredible opportunity to turn your passion into a rewarding job where you’re able to help people grow their skills on the water. If you meet the requirements, but are unsure of the coaching aspect, no worries, we will give you free access to our School of Wake Certified Course to learn the intricate details of how to instruct all ability level riders. You’ll also have a flexible schedule as a sub-contractor to choose when you want to take lessons.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparing for and leading watersports lessons, coaching and driving for up to six students
• Attend shadowing days to learn about program
• Developing strategies to lead and motivate students
• Creating a positive, comfortable, professional, family-friendly environment
• Providing feedback and coaching during lessons
• Helping to maintain the equipment and boat to ensure safe conditions with boat and equipment set up and storage at the end of the day, refueling boat, wiping down the boat etc.

Requirements

• Must be over 18 years old
• Must enjoy working with kids and all walks of life in a professional manner.
• Must be flexible, reliable, responsible, punctual, professional and have an enthusiastic approach.
• Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
• Must carry a positive attitude
• Must be able to work independently

Qualifications

• Must have 6pack USGA Captain’s License
• Must pass the School of Wake Certified Course
• Must have minimum of five years of experience operating a wake specific boat and watersports skills
• Must have valid CPR and First Aid Certificate
• Must pass background check
